Battlefleet Chaotic

Good day, ladies and gentlemen! This is what it looks like - an actual post on my actual blog! Please excuse my spelling as I may or may not be totally wasted after celebrating the Royal Wedding (though admittedly that's nothing like the feasting we had on Cadia, but alas I digress)

So, what is this titular challenge? Well, if you read Dick Move, the blog of the (oddly enough) also titular Dethtron then you'll know that this week is DIY FNIF. So, i've chosen to take up this challenge for the mixture of lulz and wewt that it will provide. The topic? This sorry article on BoLS - http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2011/04/how-internet-has-made-me-paranoid.html. Why? Because of three things:
- Brent makes for a good battlefield.
- I'm the one who has the blog so i'm the one who has an opinion.
- As I said... Brent makes for a good battlefield.
The Hero of the piece... that's yours to judge. As is, as one poster put it, what the fuck this topic is actually about.

Names have not been changed but avatars have for the sake of nothing in particular.

captgrizz - While some of the pictures are nice Personally I thought the pictures were the worst part but meh what do I know, the last time I used a picture it was to decide what your comedic avatar would be, wtf is the point of the article??? To screw with you, that's what. That theres gay gamers(as opposed to gay anything???? Well why not? wtf) or that you offended women Shouldn't've gone out of my kitchen. or the lgbt population who play wargames(a huge subsect I gather from what I could glean off your post From what i've seen it's larger than the number of your braincells)????? Been enjoyng a lot of the articles around here lately, but this one is so WTF it makes my head hurt. Well at least that explains the grammar and shit.

The point Brent was trying to make was that as a result of the Internet literally putting the world at our fingertips Really? From what I saw it was just a load of shit bound together by a few pwetty pictures, but not having some critical components of human communication included Such as the plague, people misinterpret what another person typed and nerdrage over it, which snowballs into an out of control monster Is this the origin of Goatboy? that the original person never intended.
TL;DR: When you dont know how someone else meant to type something, take a deep breath and calm down before igniting a flame war But if you did that then the eConomy would be in tatters!

Moik - I believe that's one of the many points he tried to make. As capt (and B boy himself as evident by him including a "TLDR") said, the article was too scattered. Not one of his bests, the main point was kinda generic too And? BoLS is the definition of generic - if you were expecting something else then, well.
Honestly, Brent I think you're one of my favourite writers on the site for quality of articles. Also, that unicorn thing, I never assumed it was anything more than a joke.
Althought that ridiculous "Anatomy of a Girl Gamer" That reminds me there's probably some previous fight which I could reference here... hmm... makes my blood boil at the mere thought

OverwatchCNC - The point of the article was pretty clear, and reinforced by your comment here. We, the blogosphere community, need to reassess how our comments for these articles and the interactions we have in said comments sound in terms of tone and if these comments are actually representative of how we personally wish to be seen I'm picturing a white knight here for some reason. The point is we all aren't as polarized When did this become about bears? God the amount of slang here. as the comments here on BoLS sometimes would imply and that we should be careful about how polarized  as a community we may become. Just take a look at US politics on any level if you want proof positive of how a polarized mentality can ruin a community of people.

Brettila - Exactly! A person cannot utter a, "Good morning" Filthy whore! around here without 100 people attacking their parentage and overall state of being. If someone outside of our somewhat smallish community were to look in on most of our discussions they would soundly denounce us before all who would listen. Bloody Conservatives.
